Improved state test scores at GFW Schools

While statewide scores were down slightly, GFW was greeted with improved MCA test scores when the results were released on August 31st. One of the main focuses last year was to improve the mathematic proficiency scores at the high school.

The high school was at the bottom of the list of ten area schools the previous year. The new results show that the school had jumped 22 percentage points, moving into fourth place in the area, ahead of Sibley East, Buffalo Lake Hector, Cedar Mountain, Sleepy Eye, Hutchinson and Glencoe Silver Lake. In fact at the high school level GFW moved up to fourth place in all three tests—reading, math and science.
