Reunions provide healing for Vietnam veteran

“It’s probably been the best healing process, ever,” Ron Trebelhorn said of the Vietnam reunions that he has been attending for a decade. The reunion group began in 2000 but Trebelhorn first became active with it in 2009 when he found out about them. Shortly after Trebelhorn left Vietnam, his unit, the 35th Combat Engineers, was disbanded and the unit that took over, the 538th, initiated the reunions and included Trebelhorn’s unit.
