Hog farmers facing tough decisions with COVID-19 shutdowns
The COVID-19 pandemic has hit the agricultural industry just like it has almost every other. The closures of pork processing plants in the area has made it almost impossible for hog farmers to market their hogs. While some have had to euthanize hogs because there is nowhere to take them, Harry Sloot and Paul Platz have been fortunate enough so far that they have not had to do that.
