A letter to the students at Lafayette Charter School

Dear LCS students, Every morning as I enter our school I am greeted by silence. I used to enjoy the brief moments of stillness because it was filled with the hum of excitement and expectation for I knew you would soon arrive. Now the silence is a reminder that you are not here. When I enter our school, I find myself craving the sound of your enthusiastic chatter, your quick footsteps, and the general buzz of learning that used to permeate the air.
