New Teacher Center program helps GFW teachers improve student learning

GFW was one of just a handful of schools in Minnesota to participate in the New Teacher Center program which aims to help new educators and those new to a district improve students’ learning through mentorship. After 12 years in the classroom at GFW Elementary School, Erin Jacobson was then hired as a teacher on special assignment for the district. The first two years were spent mentoring along with other duties while the past two years have concentrated on mentoring new teachers in the district and literacy coaching.
