Independent School District GFW Public Schools May 18th, 2020 The regular board meeting of the GFW School Board was held on May 18, 2020 via Zoom and live streamed on GFW Facebook Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Board Chair, Klenk called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. ALSO present: Superintendent Seifert, Klenk, Vos, Lee, Kuehn, Odegard, Haas, press, Harold Remme, Ed Waltman, Werner, community members, Staff, Principal Johnston, Lindsey Heine Absent: None Klenk moved with support from Vos to approve the agenda with the addition of discussion on graduation. Yes – Vos, Lee, Kuehn, Klenk, Haas, Odegard No – None Motion Carried New Logo/Rebranding Principal Johnston and volunteer, Missy Jasinski presented. This would be a slow roll out and uniforms etc. would be replaced as we go. Odegard moved with support from Lee to change to a new T-Bird Logo. Yes – Lee, Kuehn, Klenk, Odegard, Haas, Vos, No – None Motion Carried ACTION ITEMS Superintendent Search Candidate Presentation Klenk moved with support from Vos to send an invitation to candidates, A., B. and C to interview for GFW Superintendent. Coaches $800 for the 2020 Spring Season. Yes – Klenk, Odegard, Haas, Lee, Kuehn, Vos No – None Motion Carried Decision of Operating Levy Amount Klenk moved with support from Kuehn to run an operating levy August 11, 2020 in the amount of an increase of the middle column.
