The GFW School Board met on Monday, June 15. Superintendent Lonnie Seifert reported that the asbestos removal and new flooring has been completed at both the elementary and high school. Cleaning at the high school is also completed with the custodian crew now moving to the elementary. The sale of the football field was nearing completion with both the City of Gibbon and GFW School attorneys approving the purchase agreement. Signing the documents was expected last week. Seifert also stated that the administration was still looking to hire a special education teacher and a classroom teacher, both positions at the elementary.
