Templin shares patriotic talent

For the last decade or so, The Gibbon Reds have been extremely fortunate to have “The Star-Spangled Banner” played live at most of their home games. Bill Templin started with trumpet lessons in seventh grade with P.H. Nelson after three or four years of piano lessons. It was “the only” choice of instrument which he wanted to play. He started off with a used rusty instrument and his dad quickly upgraded him to the trumpet he currently uses. The one time it was reconditioned he recalls “I didn’t get to pay for it. As soon as my boys found out, they had it paid for when I picked it up.”
