COVID cases continued to rise
Confirmed COVID cases around the State of Minnesota continue to rise. Sibley County has the third fewest confirmed cases in the surrounding eight-county area. As of the latest weekly report issued by the Minneosta Department of Health on September 4, Sibley County had 143 confirmed COVID cases with three deaths. Renville County had the lowest number of cases at 87 with six deaths while Brown County had 135 cases, just slightly fewer than Sibley County, with two deaths. McLeod County has 370 cases with one death, LeSueur County 399 and two deaths, Nicollet County 449 and 15 deaths, Carver County 1,160 and five deaths and Scott County 2,105 and 32 deaths. As of September 3, the City of Winthrop had 14 confirmed COVID cases. New Auburn was the only city in Sibley County that had no confirmed cases. Gibbon had seven confirmed cases, Green Isle 10, Henderson 22, Arlington 34 and Gaylord 54. The City of Fairfax in Renville County had five confirmed cases. The number of CODID test in Minnesota has reached 1,540, 107 with 78,123 confirmed cases resulting in 1,837 deaths.
