Thunderbirds win opener over Concordia Academy

After starting like a track meet with the teams combining for 48 points, the defenses clamped down in the second half. GFW would break through with two fourth-quarter touchdowns to defeat Concordia Academy 40-24 on Saturday afternoon in Winthrop.
