The financial picture at the GFW School District continues to look better. The GFW School Board has been working to reduce its budget for a couple of years, but still the first Statutory Operating Debt Plan submitted to the State of Minnesota during fiscal year 2019 had the school district still a million dollars in debt by last June.
Changes made last spring and early summer reduced that deficit by $500,000 to a negative $580,400 according to the recent audit.
