GFW High School graduate Halley Busse was honored with a 1,000 point commemorative game ball before Friday evening’s home women’s basketball game vs. Southwest Minnesota State. Busse, a 5-5 point guard, became the 22nd player in Wayne State history to hit the 1,000 point mark by scoring nine points at Minnesota State on January 17. Pictured with Busse is Wildcat head coach Brent Pollari. Busse would score a season-high 28 points Friday evening, going 9-for-17 from the field and 5-for-10 from the three-point line, as the Wildcats topped the Mustangs 74-60 in Rice Auditorium. Busse currently has 1,144 points in her career at Wayne State College.
