City Administrator resigns

As part of the consent agenda, the Winthrop City Council accepted the resignation of City Administrator Jenny Palmer at its regular meeting Monday evening. In the resignation letter to the Mayor and City Council dated June 1, Palmer stated, “Winthrop is my home town and I care for everyone who lives in and servies this town.” She began working for the City of Winthrop as a billing clerk in 1993 and has served as the city administrator for the past seven years.
