Council approves extension of water/ wastewater consulting contract

The consulting contract that the City has with Curt Reetz of Water/Wastewater Operations and Technical Assistance Inc. ran out at the end of May. The Council voted 3-1 with Councilman Dale Malheim against to renew the contract. Either party may terminate the contract with 30 days written notice. With some newer staff and the wastewater reuse project, City Administrator Jenny Palmer said the staff thought it was a good idea to renew the year-long contract as he knows the system well.
