Marilyn Ahlbrecht

Marilyn Ahlbrecht, 94 of Gibbon, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021 at the Southview Living Center in Gibbon. Funeral service were held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon, with Pastor Steven Bauer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 8th at the church and continued on Friday from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the church in Gibbon. Marilyn is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Dave Rubischko of St. Peter, Cindy and Tony Wolf of New Ulm; sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Debbie Ahlbrecht of Casper, Wyoming, Charlie Jr. and Barb Ahlbrecht, Randy and Kathy Ahlbrecht and Lynn and Loretta Ahlbrecht all of Gibbon; 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and 5 step-great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Vernus Buboltz of Fairfax and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Warren and Lois Schwecke. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; son, Gary in infancy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Talford Buboltz, Myron and Edna Buboltz, Orley and Marion Buboltz and sister-in-law; Violet Buboltz; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Abe and Elva Lunderborg and Marvin and Myrtle Ahlbrecht. Marilyn Shirley Buboltz was born on May 22, 1927 to Robert and Lillie (Sell) Buboltz in Martinsburg Township, Hector, MN. On November 8, 1945 she was united in marriage to Charles William Ahlbrecht at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Wellington Township, Fairfax, MN. Marilyn enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing and canning but her husband and family were everything to her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Blessed be her memory. Marilyn was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon.
