Lafayette church to hold final mass and closing celebration Sunday

After serving the Lafayette area for nearly 79 years, the Church of St. Gregory the Great will hold its final mass this Sunday, August 8. The 10:30 a.m. mass will be preceded by a 10:10 a.m. prelude, and followed by a picnic style meal from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The afternoon will include a program and entertainment including kids’ games, a beanbag tournament, door prizes, and a food stand. History books will be available for purchase.
