“The State of Minnesota has allowed a one-time transfer opportunities for school districts. In essence we are taking money from a restricted funding source and moving it to an unrestricted funding source,” stated Superintendent Jeff Horton. The administration was asking to transfer $220,000 from its Long Term Facility Maintenance fund to an unrestricted fund. Horton stated that you can still use the money for the same purpose, but you have more flexibility on how to use the funds.
