MaryLou Hansen, age 85, of Winthrop, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021, at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, October 21, 2021, 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Winthrop with interment in the Winthrop Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. The Rosary will be Prayed at 6:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service to follow. Clergy officiating Father Bruno Santiago. Organist Diane Lang. Song leader St. Francis de Sales choir. MaryLou was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Bernice Bunting; husband, Russell Hansen; grandchildren, Stacey MacMasters and Justin MacMasters; sisters, Dorothy (Roger) Miller, Marjorie (Robert) Miller. Mary Lou Hansen was born on April 12, 1936, in Delhi, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Hubert and Bernice (Vaala) Bunting. MaryLou was baptized as an infant in the Presbyterian Church in Delhi, Minnesota, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth at the Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. She received her education in Redwood Falls and was a graduate of the Redwood Falls High School Class of 1955. On January 14, 1956, MaryLou was united in marriage to Russell Hansen at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Winthrop. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Bismarck Township. MaryLou and Russell were blessed with seven children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. MaryLou and Russell shared 55 years of marriage when Russell passed away on October 22, 2011. MaryLou was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Winthrop. MaryLou enjoyed traveling, crocheting, card club and dancing. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. MaryLou passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021, at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, at the age of 85 years. Blessed be her memory.
