Council terminates police chief contract

The contract for Winthrop Police Chief Karen Johnson was terminated by the Winthrop City Council at a special meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 19. The Police Committee consisting of Rob Edwards and Julie Trebelhorn made the recommendation to terminate the contract to the City Council.
