GFW administration ask to move fifth grade to Winthrop, excited about the curriculum options to be offered

Superintendent Jeff Horton addressed the GFW School Board last Tuesday saying that the administration is recommending that the fifth grade be moved to Winthrop to create a 5-8 middle school concept. MS/HS Principal Brittany Galetka talked about the activities that could be brought to or back to a 5-8 middle school. Horton stated that GFW could offering more options to the fifth graders with the move. Also that it would maximum the teacher’s 5-12 licenses.
