City of Lafayette has paperwork to do to keep tax-forfeited land

The area is full of grass and young evergreens, turned into a downtown city park. The land once housed Lafayette Motors, owned by Dennis Fenske and the former funeral home/Ledger building. The City of Lafayette had purchased the Ledger building and took control of the Lafayette Motors land through a tax-forfeited deed.
