The Gibbon Lions was started in 1959 with 45 members. Currently there are 35 members and Chuck Southworth is the President. They meet the second Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at D’s Banquet Room in Gibbon. The Lions are a service organization and all profits of the fundraisers are donated locally and to Lions projects. Through the Lions Organization they financially help with Leader Dogs for the Blind, Minnesota Lion’s Vision, Hearing, Diabetes, and Child Cancer Foundations, MD5M Kid’s Sight Foundation, and more.
