She was preceded in death by her parents; and her children Brenna, Brian, and Ryan Hanslick. Bonnie Kay Mielke was born on July 8, 1951 in Glencoe, MN to Albert & Esther (Kirschbaum) Mielke. She graduated in the Class of 1970 from Glencoe High School and married John on July 1st, 1972. She was a dedicated employee at Telex, Fingerhut, ADC and HTI and upon retiring in 2012 had many fond memories of the friendships she made at each company. Over the years, Bonnie took up many hobbies. She was an avid bowler in her younger years, once placing runner up at a state tournament in which her local league participated. She enjoyed tending to her garden and flowers every year with John. She was an excellent cook, skills she learned at her parents’ restaurant and took up many craft projects still displayed around the home and farm. Throughout the years, Bonnie enjoyed playing card games at parties, with family members over the holidays and more recently on her trusty tablet with their dog Huey nearby. Bonnie found great joy in taking trips around the US and the world. A few of her most memorable visits were to Branson, New York City, South Korea and Hungary where she visited the home of the exchange students they hosted, Viktor and Vera Szabo. Lastly, Bonnie was devoted wife and caring mother throughout her life and did so many wonder things for her family. Her love was cherished by them and will be greatly missed.
