Independent School District GFW Public Schools April 18, 2022 Summary of regular school board meetings. Full text is available for public inspection at 323 East 11th Street, Gibbon, MN 55335. CALL TO ORDER The regular board meeting of the GFW Public School Board was held on April 18, 2022 at the Elementary School Gibbon, MN. Board Chair Kuehn called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. ALSO present: Superintendent Horton, Lee, Prochniak, Early Childhood Director Schiro, Accountant Burns, Press Hanson, Food Service Director Walter, School Nurse Bruns, Schmidt, Press Busch, Kuehn, Merkel, Haas, Public Health Nurses. Absent: None APPROVE AGENDA Prochniak moved with support from Haas to approve the agenda with the addition of the new hire of Morgan Collins to the consent agenda. Motion Carried CONSENT AGENDA Haas moved with support from Prochniak to approve the following consent agenda with the addition of new hire Morgan Collins. Motion Carried. APPROVAL OF RESOLUTIONS AND ACTION ITEMS Resolution: Future Building Project Location: PreK-12 Centrally Located in GFW Public Schools District with Municipal Hook Ups Kuehn moved with support from Schmidt to table this resolution for 30 days, until the next regular scheduled board meeting. Motion Carried Community Education Contract Prochniak moved with support from Lee to approve the Community Education Contract. Abstain -Kuehn Motion Carried Bread Products Bid Kuehn moved with support from Haas to go out for Bread Product Bids. Motion Carried Resolution: Acceptance of Donations Haas moved with support from Prochniak to approve a $100.00 donation from the Saxton Family for GFW Community Ed Generation for Warmth, a $60.00 donation Blackbaud/Ecolab Giving Fund employee anonymous donation, a $2000.00 donation from DFA Milk Money, another $60.00 donation Blackbaud/Ecolab Giving Fund employee anonymous donation, a $750.00 donation from Robert Laabs for the Laabs Scholarship, a $500.00 donation from Dan & Mary Beiswanger for football supplies, a $2101.95 donation from GFW Athletic Boosters for athletic, and a $1909.84 donation from GFW Athletic Boosters for a indoor baseball pitching machine. Yes – Haas, Schmidt, Merkel, Kuehn, Prochniak, Lee No – None Motion Carried ADJOURNMENT Schmidt moved with support from Merkel to adjourn at 7:24 p.m. Motion Carried Marisa Lee, Clerk 34c
