City of Gibbon makes plans to run the city library

by Doug Hanson

As Sibley County has decided to give the control of the county’s public library to the individual cities, the Gibbon City Council reviewed what that meant at its June city council meeting on June 7. The transfer of control from the county board to the City of Gibbon, which will happen later this year, will not cost the city any additional money. Gibbon HR Committee (Mayor Steve Klukas, Councilman Roger Tabber and City Administrator Dana Lietzau) will meet with librarian Kim Holmquist to work out any changes that will take place.
