City prepares to take over library from county

Starting December 10, cities in Sibley County will be taking over their respective libraries. This comes after the Sibley County Library Board disbanded earlier this year. The cities have been preparing for the transition since. City Administrator Michael Looft said that the Sibley County Library Board found it in the best interest of the library to put the libraries back in control of the cities rather than having an overall county board.
