No SRO for the coming school year

by Michael Mattison

The Winthrop City Council acknowledged at its meeting August 22 that the contract was cancelled by GFW but related that it is open to future negotiations. The City Council has been in favor of continuing the SRO position and feels that it is beneficial for the students and teachers at GFW as well as the community.
