Thunderbirds drop opener to Mayer Lutheran

Last season, the GFW Thunderbird football team defeated Mayer Lutheran in the first game of the year. Mayer Lutheran would go on to win the State Championship. This year had quite a different ending to the opening game as Mayer Lutheran defeated the T-Birds 32-6.
