NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: TIME AND PLACE: Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Winthrop, Minnesota will meet at Winthrop City Hall (305 North Main Street) in the City of Winthrop, Minnesota at 7:00 P.M. on September 26, 2022, to consider the construction of the following improvements, to-wit: Sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer, street, and related construction within 2nd Street from Brown Street to Hennepin Street and to establish a utility corridor extending east from the intersection of 2nd Street and Hennepin Street to County Ditch 42. NATURE OF IMPROVEMENT: The construction of: Sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer, roadway, curb and gutter, and related improvements. ESTIMATED COST: The total estimated cost of said improvements is $4,580,260. AREA PROPOSED TO BE ASSESSED: The area proposed to be assessed for such improvements is as follows: Those properties adjacent to the portions of 2nd Street from Brown Street to Hennepin Street. AUTHORITY: The Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 429 M.S.A. Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to the proposed improvements will be heard at this meeting. Written or oral objections will be considered. NOTICE TO FUEL SUPPLIERS Sealed bids will be received by the County of Sibley, Minnesota, in the Public Works Office at 111 8th Street PO Box 897, Gaylord, Minnesota 55334-0897 until 1:00 P.M., on October 20, 2022, at which place and time they will be publicly opened by two or more persons who have been designated by the County to open bids. Bids are for the following: The 2023 calendar year supply of Unleaded Gasoline and Diesel Fuel for Sibley County Public Works. Bids shall be itemized by maintenance shop location and product type on the provided fuel bid forms. Approximate 2023 calendar year quantities are as follows: Diesel Fuel 80,000 Gallons Unleaded Gasoline 32,000 Gallons Specifications and bid forms may be obtained at the Office of Sibley County Public Works or online at Sibley County Website, Public Works, Advertisement for Bids. https://www.sibleycounty.gov/355/Advertisement-for-Bids Award will be based on lowest total estimated cost of all products at all locations (Grand Total All on bid form). The County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any defects. Rack price must be taken on (Oct. 13th) 1 week before the closing bid date. CALL TO ORDER The regular board meeting of the GFW Public School Board was held on August 15, 2022 at the Elementary School Gibbon, MN. Board Chair Kuehn called the meeting to order at 6:38 p.m. ALSO present: Superintendent Horton, Schmidt, Press Hanson, community member, Lee, Merkel, Haas listening via Zoom, non voting Absent: Prochniak APPROVE AGENDA Lee moved with support from Schmidt to approve the agenda with the addition of School & Community Recognition Motion Carried. CONSENT AGENDA Lee moved with support from Merkel to approve the following consent agenda. Motion Carried. APPROVAL OF RESOLUTIONS AND ACTION ITEM Revised Staff/School Board Rates 22-23 School Year Kuehn moved with support from Lee to approve the 22-23 GFW Staff/School Board Rates. Motion Carried. Resolution: Acceptance of Donations Schmidt moved with support from Merkel to approve a $5000.00 donation from Berny Berger, Bayer Fund-America’s Farmers Grow Communities for the AEM Academy, $500.00 donation from Zachary Rose, 3M Volunteer Match for HS Football, $1000.00 donation from David and Janet Rieke for the TCA and $60.00 donation from Blackbaud/Ecolab Giving Fund Employer Donation.
