NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED CERTIFICATION OF DELINQUENT UTILITIES Notice is hereby given that the Lafayette City Council will meet at 7:00 p.m. on November 12, 2022, at the Lafayette Council Chambers, 791 Main Avenue, Lafayette, Minnesota, to consider the following proposed delinquent utility certification. Adoption by the Council of the proposed delinquent utility certification may occur at the hearing for the following property: Legal Description: PID 15.002.2800 Amount $889.14 The proposed amount to be certified against the particular lot, piece, or parcel of land are as shown and are proposed to be payable with the 2023 Property Tax collections. Persons may at any time prior to the certification of the delinquent utilities to the County Auditor, pay the entire amount, to the City Clerk of the City of Lafayette. No interest shall be charged if the entire assessments are paid prior to certification to the County Auditor. The proposed assessments are on file for public inspection at the City Clerk’s office. Written or oral objections will be considered at the meeting. No appeal may be taken as to the amount of the assessments unless a written objection signed by the affected property owner is filed with the municipal clerk prior to the assessment hearing or presented to the presiding officer at the hearing. The owners may appeal the assessments to District Court pursuant to Minn. Stat. §429.081 by serving notice of the appeal upon the Mayor or Clerk of the City within 30 days after the adoption of the assessments and filing such notice with the District Court within 10 days after service upon the Mayor or Clerk. NOTICE The Lafayette Board of Adjustments and Appeals has called for a Public Hearing set for Monday, November 14, 2022 at 7:00 PM to be held in the Council Chambers located at 791 Main Avenue, Lafayette The purpose of this hearing is for the consideration of a variance submitted by Jeff Uhde for the property at 620 Adolph Avenue, Lafayette for the continuation of a concrete driveway within 5 foot set-back and the within the right-away from the street as required by City Code 151.49 If you have any comments, questions, concerns or objections, you are requested to be present at the November 14, 2022 hearing and make a statement or submit your concerns in writing to the city clerk prior to the hearing. NOTICE OF 2022 GENERAL ELECTION – Sibley County, MN November 8, 2022 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a State General Election will be held in Sibley County precincts on Tuesday, the 8th of November 2022 pursuant to M.S. 204D.03, Subd. 2. The following precincts are mail ballot precincts and ballots have been sent to registered voters: city of Green Isle, and the townships of Arlington, Bismarck, Cornish, Faxon, Henderson, Sibley, and Washington Lake. The traditional polling places of these precincts will not be open on Election Day.
