Hanson looking for flags for Eagle Scout project

Trevor Hanson of Troop #2 out of Lafayette will be holding a flag retirement ceremony on November 18 in the back of Tanker Bay from 6 p.m-9 p.m. The public is invited to join Hanson and the troop as they lay to rest the American flag(s) that are no longer in service. This serves as his Eagle Scout project. Out of service flag(s) can be brought to the ceremony that day or can be dropped off at Winthrop Market. All are welcome, clubs, residents, businesses, friends and family. There will be a small program and then the flags will be taken outside and burned and properly disposed of. There will be snacks provided after the ceremony.
