NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED CERTIFICATION OF DELINQUENT UTILITIES Notice is hereby given that the Lafayette City Council will meet at 7:00 p.m. on December 12, 2022, at the Lafayette Council Chambers, 791 Main Avenue, Lafayette, Minnesota, to consider the following proposed delinquent utility certification. Adoption by the Council of the proposed delinquent utility certification may occur at the hearing for the following property: Legal Description: PID 15.002.2800 Amount: $1,052.24 The proposed amount to be certified against the particular lot, piece, or parcel of land are as shown and are proposed to be payable with the 2023 Property Tax collections. Persons may at any time prior to the certification of the delinquent utilities to the County Auditor, pay the entire amount, to the City Clerk of the City of Lafayette. No interest shall be charged if the entire assessments are paid prior to certification to the County Auditor. The proposed assessments are on file for public inspection at the City Clerk’s office. Written or oral objections will be considered at the meeting. No appeal may be taken as to the amount of the assessments unless a written objection signed by the affected property owner is filed with the municipal clerk prior to the assessment hearing or presented to the presiding officer at the hearing. The owners may appeal the assessments to District Court pursuant to Minn. Stat. §429.081 by serving notice of the appeal upon the Mayor or Clerk of the City within 30 days after the adoption of the assessments and filing such notice with the District Court within 10 days after service upon the Mayor or Clerk. CITY OF LAFAYETTE COUNTY OF NICOLLET STATE OF MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Lafayette City Council, serving as the Board of Adjustments and Appeals, has called for a Public Hearing set for Monday, December 12, 2022 at 7:00 PM to be held in the Council Chambers at 791 Main Avenue, Lafayette, MN 56054. The purpose of this hearing is for the consideration of a zone change submitted by Heimat Properties, LLC for the property at 351 6th Street, Lafayette for the rezoning of this property from Residential to Commercial; this notification is required by City Code 151.149. If you have any comments, questions, concerns or objections, you are requested to either submit them in writing to the city clerk prior to the hearing or to be present at the hearing to make a statement. PUBLIC HEARINGS The Lafayette City Council will conduct the first Truth in Taxation Public Hearing on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. in the Lafayette Council Chambers at 791 Main Avenue. The purpose of this hearing is to allow public input concerning the City budget and financing for the 2023 budget year. Following the public hearing council will hold a budget workshop. The Lafayette City Council will conduct the second Truth in Taxation Public Hearing on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. in the Lafayette Council Chambers at 791 Main Avenue. The purpose of this hearing is to allow public input concerning the City budget and financing for the 2023 budget year. The Lafayette City Council intends to adopt the 2023 property tax levy and approve the 2023 budget at the regularly scheduled council meeting directly following the hearing.
