Leitheiser enriches the reading program in GFW

Three years ago, the GFW school district was awarded a grant from the State of Minnesota called the Comprehensive Literacy State Development Project. It created new positions in the school district for coaches to help guide teachers in best practices for teaching reading. Mary Leitheiser is the Family Literacy Specialist. Her team of coaches includes Kristen Hentges who specializes with birth-Kindergarten aged children, Amanda Blumhoefer specializing with Grades 1-4, and JoshWasmund with 5th Grade.
