Thunderbird boys lose to BLHS by three

by Michael Mattison

It was a closely contested matchup on Friday when the GFW Thunderbird boys basketball team traveled Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart. The Mustangs led throughout the first half and held a 31-29 lead at halftime. Dominic Rose would have the hot hand hitting on five field goals for 10 points. Both Braylan Freitag and Cole Jacobson would dial in twice for long range for six points each. Midway through the second half, GFW would take the lead only to see it vanish in the waning moments of the second half for a three-point 57-54 loss.
