Jon Lagerstedt
The family of Jon Lagerstedt would like to run his full obituary again in the Winthrop News. I’ve attached his photo and the obit reads:
Jon Maxwell Lagerstedt, age 68, of rural Gibbon, Mn died unexpectedly on January 17, 2023.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Gibbon. Pastor Erik Karlson will officiate, and burial will follow in the Augustana Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 15th prior to the service at the church in Gibbon.
Jon is survived by brothers Gary (Carla) Lagerstedt of Spicer, MN and Mark Lagerstedt of Woodbury, MN, sisters Lila Sillerud of Canby and Eileen (Fred) Knudsen of Owatonna, MN, sister-in-law Carol Lagerstedt of Adams, MN, cousin Carol (Dennis) Fuller of Amboy, MN, and by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merlon and Jennie Lagerstedt, brother Lynn Lagerstedt, brother-in-law Cliff Sillerud, and nephew Paul Knudsen.
The Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes of Gibbon are assisting the family with arrangements at this time.

Jon was born in Gaylord on February 15, 1954, to Merlon and Jennie (Maxwell) Lagerstedt. He attended school in Gibbon and was a member of the graduating class of 1972. He attended Canby Area Vocational Technical Institute and received a degree in parts management. He also attended Hutchinson Vocational Technical Institute and earned a degree in accounting. Jon was a hard worker. He farmed with his father until 2013. He delivered rural mail and drove a school bus route until his death.
Jon served as the clerk of the Severance Township Board and also as an election judge for many years. He enjoyed visiting with friends, sporting events, and riding his bicycle and motorcycle. He loved his cats and constant companion, his dog.
