Lafayette water plant continues to move towards spring construction

by Doug Hanson
The Lafayette City’s water pilot project was shut down on August 21st. There were no issues during the project reported Utility Superintendent Al Fox at the September Lafayette City Council meeting. “The whole thing ran really well.”
Fox will now wait for the final report from Harn R/O Systems. Meanwhile the design of the building is about 60 percent completed. It is expected to be completed by the end of October.
The City is also waiting for a State Bonding Committee to come to Lafayette to look over the project on October 5. This group will be doing research for a grant the City has applied for.
