Colleen Frances (Gallagher) Deshaw

Colleen Frances (Gallagher) Deshaw, age 63, of Gibbon, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee. She was born on April 17, 1960 in Robbinsdale, MN to Joe and Rita Gallagher.
Colleen was truly in the midst of enjoying her life while being a bright spot to others. Her creative spirit was brought out in her intricate sewing designs, along with her vibrant yard and flower displays. She loved finding and giving the perfect gift that showed just how much you meant to her. She even used her talent for sewing to raise money and awareness for a cure to end Alhzheimer’s. Colleen loved highlighting the town of Gibbon. She donated many of her projects for local events as well as for the American Water Spaniel Club. She truly enjoyed the company of her own two American Water Spaniels, Gretta and Tilly. She had an adventurous side with her friends that took her to all parts of the United States.
Colleen’s creativity was endless. She was known to get up in the middle of the night, eager to sew an idea that just popped up. Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren were custom sewn and nothing but the best! She could make traditional costume ideas like an octopus, tin man, super hero, scarecrow, or hippie into a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
Colleen graduated from Howard Lake-Waverly High School. In her professional life, she has enjoyed a variety of occupations and positions that took her on many adventures. Colleen spent extended time in North Dakota during the oil boom. She loved to travel to exciting places with her current company Inter Plastics Corporation.
Colleen is survived and will be missed deeply by her loving husband, Raymond, and their six combined children: Amanda Berg and her husband Trevor, Jena Turner-Faue and her wife Kim, Aubrey O’Malley, Kelly Martinson and her husband Traylen, Lisa Wallace and her husband Jay, Paula Malz and her husband Stephen. Colleen was also blessed with seven grandchildren: Luke Stolt, Johnny Berg, Berneal Berg, Bobbie Jo Berg, Tucker O’Malley, Rylan O’Malley, and Seger Turner-Faue. She was a sister to Jim Gallagher and his wife Karen, Pat Rogers and her husband Charlie, Rita Nau, Joe Gallagher and his wife Lisa. She leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts and uncles, and her brother-in-law, Dennis Nau.
