Gibbon hires Police Chief

At a closed meeting on February 6, the Gibbon City Council reviewed the interviews by the Human Resource Committee of four candidates for the Gibbon Police Chief position.
When the meeting reopened, the Council passed a motion to offer the position to Sara Miller of Litchfield. The 19-year veteran is currently an officer for the Meeker County Sheriff’s Department.
She was offered a salary of $93,000 a year based on a 40-hour week with 80 hours of vacation time. Full-time Gibbon employees also receive nine paid holidays and one floating holiday per the employee handbook.
On Friday, Miller signed the offer letter to accept the position.
