Gibbon Council orders utility improvements

by Michael Mattison
A hearing for the 2024 utility improvements project that will bring infrastructure to the new GFW Schools site was held by the Gibbon City Council at its March regular meeting on Wednesday.
After the hearing, the City Council passed a resolution ordering the improvements and considered soil boring proposals.
Bryan Petzel of ISG presented the information at the hearing. The project will include sanitary sewer and watermain to the GFW site, loop the watermain in the area and remove and construct a new lift station.
The sanitary and watermain will go from East 11th Street from the existing lift station to the east end 11th Street, go north past the grain bin site and across Highway 19 and stub into the school property.
