City office to be closed to public

Amid efforts to slow the spread of Coronavirus by state and federal government, the Winthrop City Council called an emergency special meeting Monday night to assess the status of the city and what steps it can take. The City Council voted to close City Hall to the public until its next meeting on April 6 and re-evaluate the situation at that point.
