Glass Robin Art of Gibbon

by Maggie Buettner

Kris Robin first started creating with glass after he was introduced to a glass artist in Mankato. The artist asked him to be an apprentice and offered space, tools, and equipment in exchange for a portion of his work. “I quickly learned to make glass art,” Kris stated. “Glass in itself is such a cool medium to work in, you take some clear, swirl some color in and it’s amazing. I would like to think it was of benefit to us both. We are still friends today.  He teaches on the Iron Range.”
