City of Lafayette approves pilot study for RO Project

by Doug Hanson
The Lafayette City Council passed a resolution to approve a recommendation from SEH Engineer for a Pilot Study for the new RO Project. A letter to Mayor Sandie Peterson from SEH stated that the Pilot Study was an important part of any water treatment design for evaluating, establishing and optimizing design parameter.
There was only one bidder, but SEH stated that Harn R/O Systems is well known and highly regarded in the industry. Harn will ship a portable unit that will be placed by the water treatment plant. The purpose of the Pilot Study is to prove if what the City is trying to do to correct its chlorine problems will work. It will provide operational knowledge, what may be needed for maintenance for the system and which issues may need to be adjusted.
