Gibbon Royalty to be crowned on Saturday and Winterfest was last weekend

The Miss Gibbon coronation will be held Saturday a 7 p.m. in the GFW Elementary School gymnasium. Candidates are Gabriela Gonzalez and Lynnea Schwecke. Along with the crowning of the new royalty, they will celebrate the past year’s reign of Katelyn Beranek and Taylor Schafer and announce which is Miss Gibbon and which is Princess. Gibbon Fire and Rescue will be celebrated as well for their achievement of being named the 2023 Minnesota State Fire Department of the year. A community member will also receive the Minneapolis Aquatennial Honorary Commodore Award.
