Lafayette to televise sewer lines

by Doug Hanson
Public Works Supervisors Al Fox reported that the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency approved a grant to clean, televise and inventory the sewer lines for the City of Lafayette. The report was given at a special meeting on February 14 and again reviewed at the March 11 regular meeting of the Lafayette City Council.
The process will include cleaning the main sewer line and then televising the main lines and the lines leading to residents and businesses. An inventory will be completed on repairs needed and also on the Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) of fresh water that is entering the sewer system. Past flooding events will be included in the report.
