Gibbon City Council tackles a variety of agenda items

by Doug Hanson
It’s time to make a decision. That’s what ISG engineer Bryan Petzel told the Gibbon City Council last Tuesday about the infrastructure to the new GFW School. He stated that the plans and specifications are 99.9 percent completed. He added that the timeline needed to be accelerated and the permits from the Department of Health, Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota Pollution Agency be applied for.
At the same time he asked for a resolution to start advertising for bids for the project. The permits could take approximately four weeks, so the bids would be set up for opening the second week in July.
From a bidding perspective, Petzel stated that contractors might be looking for a project to finish out the season.
