CALL TO ORDER
The regular board meeting of the GFW Public School Board was held on August 19, 2024 at the Elementary School Gibbon, MN. Vise Chair Briese called the meeting to order at 6:00, Stehr, p.m.
ALSO present: Superintendent Smith, Tech Werner, Turtle, Miller Principal Thompson, Press Hanson, Grosam
Absent: Merkel
APPROVE AGENDA
Miller moved with support from Stehr to approve the agenda. Motion Carried.
Moment of silence for former bus driver, Richard Hellendrung.
CONSENT AGENDA
Stehr moved with support from Grosam to amend the following consent agenda with a correction of the July 15, 2024 minutes. Donation resolution should read; Miller moved with support from Turtle to accept the donation of $1000 from Sara Berg CAF/3M, for the MS/HS Robotics Program. Motion Carried.
Miller moved with support from Turtle to approve the amended consent agenda. Motion Carried.
RESOLUTIONS AND ACTION ITEMS
Truth in Taxation Meeting Date & Time – December 16, 2024 at 6 p.m.
Stehr moved with support from Miller to approve the Truth in Taxation Meeting Date & Time for December 16, 2024 at 6 p.m. Motion Carried.
Change of September 16, 2024 board meeting to September 23, 2024.
Miller moved with support from Grosam to move the September 16, 2024 board meeting to September 23, 2024. Motion Carried.
MOU for GFWEA Agreement – RE: Health Insurance Stehr moved with support from Miller to approve the MOU for GFWEA Agreement regarding Health Insurance. Motion Carried.
Letter of Support for GFW School District Transportation Economic Development (TED) Grant.
Miller moved with support from Turtle to approve the Letter of Support for GFW School District Transportation Economic Development (TED) Grant.
Yes – Briese, Miller, Turtle, Grosam, Stehr
No – None Motion Carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Miller moved with support from Grosam to adjourn at 6:45 p.m.. Motion Carried.

NOTICE TO FUEL SUPPLIERS
Sealed bids will be received by the County of Sibley, Minnesota, in the Public Works Office at 111 8th Street PO Box 897, Gaylord, Minnesota 55334-0897 until 1:00 P.M., on October 17, 2024, at which place and time they will be publicly opened by two or more persons who have been designated by the County to open bids. Bids are for the following:
The 2025 calendar year supply of Unleaded Gasoline and Diesel Fuel for Sibley County Public Works. Bids shall be itemized by maintenance shop location and product type on the provided fuel bid forms.
Approximate 2025 calendar year quantities are as follows:
Diesel Fuel
86,000 Gallons
Unleaded Gasoline
34,600 Gallons
Specifications and bid forms may be obtained at the Office of Sibley County Public Works or online at Sibley County Website, Public Works, Advertisement for Bids.

Award will be based on lowest total estimated cost of all products at all locations (Grand Total All on bid form). The County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any defects.
Rack price must be taken on (Oct.10th) 1 week before the closing bid date.
Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder’s bond, made payable to the County Treasurer, in the amount of $500.00.
