The Gibbon City Council feels the opportunity is now to discuss future housing development. At its October 1st monthly meeting, ISG engineer Bryan Petzel stated that work is ahead of schedule on the sewer and water lines to the new school. The sewer line is being insulated and the road is being rebuilt.
At a special meeting on September 19, the Council had two items on the agenda. Dave Theis was selected to fill April Firle’s council position for the rest of 2024. Also a change order for the utility improvement project was discussed and approved. The change order was to add water shut offs and Ts to the sewer line on East 11th Street. The cost of this change order was $75,610. This change allows the City to develop 10 lots on the north side of the former football field.
