GFW Board selects two superintendent finalists

On Monday the GFW School Board selected Alan Berg and Joel Timmerman to return for a second interview for the superintendent position.
The Board and a group of staff members interviewed the candidates separately, using a rating system to rank the candidates.
Berg was a top choice of both groups, but the second place finisher was different with the Board picking Judd Wheatley and the staff selecting Joel Timmerman. After each Board member reviewed their opinions on strengths and weaknesses and reviewed the staff comments, the Board agreed with the staff and will bring back Timmerman.
The second round is set for Monday evening and will again included separate interviews and this time a tour of the buildings.
