CALL TO ORDER
The regular board meeting of the GFW Public School Board was held on September 15, 2025 at the Elementary School Gibbon, MN. Chair Miller called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
ALSO present: Superintendent Berg, Tech Werner, Press Hanson, Grosam, Acree, Stehr, Turtle, Briese, Miller
Absent: None
APPROVE AGENDA
Grosam moved with support from Acree to approve the agenda. Motion Carried
CONSENT AGENDA
Briese moved with support from Stehr to approve the consent agenda. Motion Carried
RESOLUTIONS AND ACTION ITEMS
Recommendation to Approve Maximum Preliminary Levy Amount as Required by Statute
Grosam moved with support from Briese to the Maximum Preliminary Levy Amount. Motion Carried
Recommend Motion to Approve Donation Resolution
Breise moved with support from Grosam to approve the donation of $2500.00 from Central Region Coop for the FFA Green House, $800.03 from Peace Lutheran Church for the Community Bus, $2500.00 from CO Bank for the Farmers Legacy Fund and $10, 000.00 from Tim Adelman for Spirit of the Season.
Yes – Grosam, Turtle, Stehr, Miller, Briese, Acree
No – None Motion Carried
Recommendation to Approve the Second Readings of Policies as follows
i. Policy 418 – Drug Free Workplace
ii. Policy 501 – School Weapons Policy
iii. Policy 516.5 – Overdose Medication
iv. Policy 534 – School Meals
v. Policy 621 – Literacy and the READ Act
vi. Policy 802- Disposition of Obsolete Equipment and Material
Grosam moved with support from Turtle to approve Policies 418, 501, 516.5, 534, 621 and 802. Motion Carried
ADJOURNMENT
Briese moved with support from Grosam to adjourn at 6:20 p.m. Motion Carried

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
You are hereby notified that a public hearing will be held by the Sibley County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, to begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Sibley County Courthouse, Commissioner’s Room (2nd floor), 400 Court Avenue, Gaylord, MN 55334.
The purpose of the said public hearing is to consider moving the position of the Sibley County Auditor-Treasurer from an elected position to an appointed position.
You may appear if you so desire, either in person or by agent or attorney, in opposition to or support of the proposed request.
