Gibbon Lions donate to McGowan Field

The Gibbon Lions donated funds for new bleachers down the first and third base lines at McGowan Field. The new bleachers feature handrailings for safety. “It is extremely important to the Gibbon Lions Club to support the community. We like to put our money where it is most appreciated,” said Jo Gatton. “One thing that is important in Gibbon, is our park and our baseball team—the Gibbon Reds. The Gibbon Lions donated for bleachers in the past and now it was time to add more seating so we donated a little over $14,000 for the new bleachers.” From left to right: Tom Schafer, Gary Schafer, Harold Pettis, Sue Bentz, Don Bentz and Steve Klukas.
